Upcoming Conventions: Screamfest 2006 in Orlando, FL and Queens of the Desert" Rocky Con in Tucson, Arizona. Both will be held over the weekend of October 13-15. We've mentioned these events in previous episodes so check them out!

The annual fundraiser for Narcotics Anonymous is called "Sponsor Horror Picture Show," where Brad and Janet graduate Rehab just to have their car break down in front of the Transylvanian Recovery Home. That's where the trouble starts and the fun begins. It will be at Friends Church, 12211 Magnolia St., Garden Grove, CA 92841 (626) 359-0084. This will be on October 14, 7pm. Tickets are $10 but seating is limited so pre-sales are encouraged. If you are in that area, do check it out.

If you live in the San Antonio, TX area, The Cameo Center Theater is hosting Rocky Horror Show Live. The address is 1123 East Commerce St., San Antonio, TX 78201, (210) 472-2636. Make sure to get in on this--there are five shows only. The shows start on October 28. Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 senior/military, and $15 student except for October 28 when senior/military/student tickets are $18. This is the third time Cameo has run Rocky Horror Show and it's always a lot of fun.

What is your cast doing for Halloween? Let us know! It might give us some ideas too.

Lambda Psi Phi cast list -- Hello to Faithful Handymen, the Flippers Cinema cast in Hollywood, FL which is the sister to our host theater (Flippers Peachtree Cinema).

Are there any Rocky shadowcasts on MySpace who haven't friended us yet? Do it! We want to be a one-stop place to pick up the various MySpace casts and we are well on the way to achieving this goal.

Discussion: What are the minimum props a cast needs to put on a show. Got anything to add?

Extreme prop failures--some of our favorite things....

Cult Movie Review: Breakin' Two Electric Boogaloo. Next week: Maybe Cabin Fever and another movie? Sean says Cabin Fever is too good for the reviews. Laura's not so sure. During the month of October, cult movie reviews will be horror movies. Laura suggests that February movies be bad porn (because of Valentine's Day). We'll see.

Joke of the day

Round Table Discussion: Favorite Tim Curry Movies (Sean's girlfriend Jeanne, who has been quietly sitting in the background, brings up "The Worst Witch."

AP lines of the week

Fantasy Cast: Shrek

Shoutouts: We're now a proud member of blubrry.com, the podcast network for listeners. Also, please pretty please fill out our Listener Survey which will only take five minutes of your time and will help us get to know you. Rocky Horror Pod Show is also an affiliate of GA Podcast Network where you'll find many excellent podcasts. Laura wants to shout out to her new friend Graham Holland, a musician from Liverpool, UK who has an acoustic music podcast called It's A Frog's Life. Sean is shouting out to his World of Warcraft guilds And The Funky Bunch and his new one, The Dead Parrot Society.

Shock Treatment will be on Fox Movie Channel on October 27 at 8:00 p.m. Laura has a shocking confession.

Conventions: Screamfest 2006 in Orlando, Florida and Queens of the Desert Rocky Con in Tucson, Arizona. Both will be held over the weekend of October 13.

For those attending Queens of the Desert and who would like to perform as a Trixxie, get in touch with Sue-@-wildanduntamedthings.com about Trixxie Overload preshow. She'll need your name, cast name, email, and phone number and you'll have a little bit of choreography to learn.

Sean surprises us with a celebrity special guest interview. It goes badly.

Round table discussion: People who really should not be at Rocky Horror. Share your stories with us and we'll include them on the next show.

Joke of the week

AP lines of the week: Submitted by Hoover, who was on last week's show and by Lil Danni's Playhouse

We were not able to find the movie we were going to review for this week as someone borrowed the DVD, so we reviewed Lost Skeleton of Cadavra instead.

Lambda Psi Phi cast list

Fantasy castlist: This week we fill out a mythical shadow cast using characters from Peanuts. Do you like what we came up with? Can you do better? Can you suggest another fantasy cast?

Sean and Laura's fellow castmates Cesar and Hoover visit the show and we eat tomato and feta pizza.

Two conventions are coming up over the weekend of October 13: Screamfest 2006 and Queens of the Desert, which you can find out about here and here.

Correction and clarification

Joke of the week

AP line of the week

How Hoover and Cesar got started with RHPS. Like this feature? We'd love to interview YOU! Email us to work out a guest starring spot-- we can do this over the phone.

Educational segment: how do cock rings, diaphrams, and dental dams work?

Tonight's topic: Crossing the line, or jokes that are offensive and the nature of shadow cast comedy

Review of cult movie Harold and Maude

What movie would you pick as a double feature with RHPS?

Plugs: Mindless Self Indulgence's new album "Memories of Me" is up. Cesar asks that anyone who goes to LPP's show Saturday night donate to breast cancer run. Hoover would like people to check out his old band fiftydollarfine. Sean wants people to join his World of Warcraft Guild "And the Funky Bunch"-- see Floofy, Sugglebuns or Akaan for hookup. Laura orders everyone to listen to Coffee and Tea Show, which is a comedy podcast she does with her husband Dwight and friend Sasha and sometimes her daughter does her own show there.

We talk about Dragon*con over Labor Day weekend.

Check out Screamfest 2006, with special guest Patricia Quinn. She will be hosting an all star shadow cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show for a midnight showing on Saturday, October 14th. An event no one wants to miss.

The Rocky Horror/Shock Treatment box set is now out.

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin died this weekend due to being stabbed in the heart by the barb of a stingray. Is your cast doing a tribute?

Sean reviews the cult horror movie Sleepaway Camp. SPOILER ALERT!

Bryan from Vineland, New Jersey wrote us a very nice letter. He asked about dual-part casting, even multi-part casting. Our cast, when we are shorthanded, often casts Eddie/Dr. Scott, Eddie/Crim, Crim/Dr. Scott. What does your cast do? Can you get really creative with this? Does it bother your audience? We also get into a discussion of bell shows.

The Sweet Transvestites of Paris, France wrote to us to let us know that they recently stopped the film and saved Frank at the last minute.

Personally, our cast Lambda Psi Phi almost never uses Trixies, nor do we cast a trannie chorus. N9 used to use a stripper Trixie. Our good buddy Alisachan (whose pay website we'll plug) once played a candy Trixie for N9 and when some guys in the audience started yelling for her to take it off, she hit them really hard with candy. What does your cast do?

Shout outs to our fellow Atlanta cast Lambda Psi Phi (come see Laura play Frank and Sean play Columbia on Saturday night!), shameless plugs to Laura's other podcast Coffee and Tea Show (I do what I want), Rusty and Amber at Georgia Podcast Network and their show on which we'll soon be interviewed, my fellow podcaster Leeann (Tag In The Seam) who started the Live Journal community Women in Podcasting and finally Sean's World of Warcraft guild which is called And The Funky Bunch.

Various topics: Dragon*con is this weekend (Labor Day), Lips Down On Dixie cast, Rocky Horror Props, Fudge Ems from Dominos Pizza, Interview with Maia of Muffinbread podcast and LPP cast. Yes, Maia is Laura's daughter. A little nepotism never hurt anyone.

Laura reviews cult movie: Pink Flamingos (1972). Sean plans to review Sleep Away Camp (1983) next week. Your homework assignment is to watch it to avoid spoilers.

Of course, there is sidetracking about Snakes on a Plane.

Screen accuracy vs. parody

Shoutouts: Ed from Fishnet Mafia of Columbus, Ohio.
