News: Queen of the Desert con was a success, we hear. Any word on Screamfest? Last week in 1974, filming began on Rocky Horror Picture Show. Barry Bostwick was hired by Donald Trump to read a book on tape.

Ed from Fishnet Mafia emailed us to say:
Hey guys -
I'm responding to your question of "What do we do, for the Halloween show?"

October is the only month, that we perform a third show. As a treat for the audience, we have the entire cast perform at this show. How we do this, is that the primaries split the roll at key points of the movie. So, for example, the role of Janet... One will play till the lights go off, during the Creation scene. Then switch, and the other will be there, in the white robe. The first, can now start getting ready for the Floor Show, including the make-up. And then, be back on stage for that.

Also, we encourage the audience to dress up in their Halloween costumes. We do hold costume contests, during the Pre-Show. One is a regular costume contest, and the other is to crown the Goth King and Queen, for Columbus, OH.

.....Also, I wanted to let you know, that you guys have a permanent link, on our website.

He also sent a preshow music list:
I heard you talking about making CDs to be played, while the audience is filtering into the theatre. I do the same thing for us. I enjoy it a lot, since I used to DJ, plus it's another outlet for my creativity.

I call the releases, "PRE-SHOW ENTERTAINMENT", and they are a full 80 minutes of special remixes, regular versions of songs, soundbytes, and commercials. Generally, it works out that I'll play the first half on the first show of the month; the last half at the second show.
For the month of October, I made a special Halloween Edition, to be played at all 3 shows. Here is the playlist for this month:

1) "Treehouse of Horror V" (intro)
2) Haunted House (megamix) - Various Artists - a house/techno beat that uses samples from "Tales From The Crypt", "Halloween", "A Nightmare On Elm St.", and Vincent Price's laugh off "Thriller"
3) Let Me Prey - Van Helsing's Curse
4) "This city is headed for a disaster" (Ghostbusters)
5) Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.
6) "RHPS Commercial (Riff Raff)"
7) Weird Science (remix) - Oingo Boingo
8) "It's alive!" (Young Frankenstein)
9) Monster Mash (remix) - Bobby "Borris" Pickett
10) "If a witch betrayed her coven" (The Craft)
11) Dead Man's Party (remix) - Oingo Boingo
12) "There are certain rules" (Scream)
13) Thriller (remix) - Michael Jackson
14) "One - two - Freddy's coming for you" (A Nightmare On Elm St.)
15) Dream Warriors - Dokken
16) The Weapon (live) - Rush - introduction by Count Floyd
17) "RHPS Commercial (Belt You Around The Mouth)"
18) Somebody's Watching Me (remix) - Rockwell
19) "Feed me!" (Little Shoppe Of Horrors)
20) Something In My House (remix) - Dead or Alive
21) "Werewolf" (Young Frankenstein)
22) Twilight Zone (remix) - Golden Earring
23) "When a vampire bites it, it's never a pretty sight" (The Lost Boys)
24) God Of Thunder - KISS
25) "You should never say, 'Who's there?'" (Scream)
26) Nature Trail To Hell - "Weird Al" Yankovic

Sal Piro is going to be at Queens of the Desert con.

Get well wishes to Dori Hartley, who was the first fan to ever dress up for Rocky Horror back in 1977. She was supposed to be at Queens of the Desert con but had to cancel. Get well soon.

Sean and Laura are both really tired and so are going to make this a short show. Your ears will thank us.

We missed Meatloaf's birthday September 27, and we also made a mistake about Heaven By The Dashboard Light from Bat Out of Hell. Thanks Bryan.

Today, October 4th is Susan Sarandon's birthday.

Cast List for Lambda Psi Phi

How Rocky has made changes in our lives. The jobs both Sean and Laura have now they would not have found if they didn't know the Lambda Psi Phi cast leader, who got them the interviews. Laura never would have worked at Dragon*con all these years if she didn't know folks from Rocky. Also Laura wouldn't have known how to take off her bra without first removing her shirt if she hadn't seen it done in virgin races (Listen to this One-Minute How To podcast episode where Laura explains this very thing to host George Smyth). Sean also got a previous job by knowing the cast leader's brother. Also Sean used to call up the local Time Warp BBS (remember those?) back in pre-Internet days when he lived in Savannah and got to know a lot of people through that Rocky connection.

We digress into a discussion of strange fake genitalia.

Sean has met his current and two former longtime girlfriends through Rocky. Also our cast leader and her brother learned to use a computer because of Rocky.

Laura went to a scary party when she was 19 or 20 where she was really high and paranoid and this drunk guy was threatening to rape and murder her in the street. She and her friends escaped the party and then went to Rocky Horror and it was the best time at Rocky ever!

Laura stole the joke of the week from Michael and Evo's Wingin' It podcast. Sean contributes another one.

Movie review: Battle Royale! Dawn and Drew keep saying they'll review it but I don't think they ever have so Booyah! You can buy it from Amazon.

AP lines of the week.

People, tell us your Halloween show plans and unusual places that show Rocky Horror. Discussions about Savannah cast, Sean's college's outdoor show, our friend Jason's show after Halloween, doing Rocky at a drive-in theater with a flatbed truck for stage, Rocky at Gay Pride parade.

Fantasy Cast: Gilligan's Island + The Golden Girls

Conventions and such: Screamfest 2006 weekend of October 13; Queens of the Desert weekend of October 13; Narcotics Anonymous's fundraiser "Sponsor Horror Picture Show," at Friends Church, 12211 Magnolia St., Garden Grove, CA 92841 (626) 359-0084 on October 14, 7pm.; and Rocky Horror Live in San Antonio, TX ending October 28.

Also howdy to Bryan and Andrea from MySpace and CIKevin from Live Journal. And thanks for the Monchhichi, MySpace's MagentA, Like VaginA!

If anyone can give us the Monchhichi theme song in MP3 format, we'd be most grateful. We are needing to use it for something. It's a surprise!
