Rockypod's K7 number is pretty sketchy and is cutting in and out, plus if there are no calls in 30 days, it goes away. Luckily, Tee Morris of Morevi and Podcasting for Dummies (Hey, that's me!) got me a beta of Google's Grand Central to try out. It's pretty cool and goes to my home number or cellphone.

So leave me a call. I will also be using this for Coffee and Tea Show,
or you can just call me if you want to stalk me, regardless. If you hit
the blue button over to the right under the Google Groups invite, you can have Grand Central call for
free. I also have a very limited number of invitations for Grand
Central, if you want one - first come first serve.

~Laura

This is a special announcement regarding an upcoming convention many of us planned to attend. You will notice that this was recorded live in front of Lambda Psi Phi's theater with an audience and a blond girl who was unable to work the theater door.

On Saturday night July 14, 2007, we interviewed Bob Foster (dressed like Bert Schnick) from F5/Back Row Productions, the casts that are putting on the convention Bride of Palooza, which was scheduled for the weekend of August 10-11. Due to the South Windemere Cinema, home of Back Row for the past five years, closing its doors, the show will be postponed to February or March 2008. Email RP7overall -at- yahoo dot com for more information.

To celebrate their long association with this theater, Back Row Productions is putting on two shows on August 10 and 11, double features of both Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment.

Another con announcement we missed: Crazed Imaginations is doing the Rocky Horror production for Comic Con 2007 July 28 in San Diego (You can buy tickets here for only $10--It's the same weekend as Pirate Con, so try to clone yourself.). Laura has to live with this racket all night long.

In the UK, a burly electrician headbutted a group of folks who were dressed in fishnets and going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Have you ever been attacked because you were dressed for the show?

Netflix stories: Sean recently saw Resident Evil - Apocolypse. Laura recently saw Rogers and Hammerstein's 1965 version of Cinderella.

Battlestar Galactica got cancelled. It is put on by the cast F5 and will cost $35.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Rocky Horror Pod Show will be going to a bi-weekly schedule and we are going to start another comedy podcast to alternate with this one, because there just isn't that much Rocky Horror news these days and it's a struggle to have real content (not that this has ever stopped us). If you have any suggestions for the name of the new cast, let us know soon because we plan to start this new schedule next week!

Have we done a Brady Bunch fantasy cast? I think so, but we did it anyway.

Sean is reviewing 300. Of course we don't stay on-topic and delve into Grindhouse, Spiderman 3, Spiderman 2, Spin City, Sin City, Pirates of the Caribbean, Teenage Aqua Hunger Force, Cartoon Network shows, the only one of which that is good is Robot Chicken, Pan's Labyrinth, Squidbillies, Family Guy, Southpark, Clutch Cargo, Cars, Ratatoille, Doc Hollywood, Lilo and Stitch, Tarzan, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice.

Ron Nastie from Final Taxi once gave me some Netflix tips. They do an Xmen fantasy cast for us.

Then I read email from Ducky, who came up with her own Firefly/Serenity fantasy cast.

I say hello to various friends of the show.

Next is the Firefly/Serenity fantasy cast Sean and Laura did with Les from The Signal podcast, which won the 2006 People's Choice Podcast Awards for "Best Produced" and "Movies and Films." They were also nominated for Parsec Awards for "Best Fan Podcast" and "Best Audio Production." We are so-o-o-o-o-o out of their league.

To that end, I apologize for the sound quality. We thought we had a quiet room and as the recording went on, people came into the room. This took a long time to edit down the background noise, which is why this show is so late. Ah well, we recorded at last weekend's excellent Podcamp Atlanta and everyone was excitedly talking about their shows so we can't be too upset. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording this, and we hope to do some other project with Les in the future.

RHPS 29-Strippers vs. Candy Girls

Call 206-888-4991 to leave comments

We want to remind you about the upcoming Rocky conventions: We Are Rocky--Rockypalooza in Huntington, WV on May 11 & 12 and Midnight Insanity Pirates of Transylvania Con in Long Beach, CA on July 26-29. Also, we are going to be at the Podcamp Atlanta Unconference this weekend, March 16-17.

Brian from 2 Drunks and a Podcast and Andy from Lips Down on Dixie call with fantasy casts requests. We also have gotten a lot of email from our listeners. Rachel gave us a Simpsons fantasy cast she herself made up. Ducky told us that the girl M&M is blue, not green.

In Tennessee back in the '70s, if you wore green on Thursday, it meant you were gay. We discuss other indicators we also used to hear about. Why we went off on this topic, I have no idea.

Rachel gave us a suggested topic: Trixies and what is their purpose--Trixies as strippers or as candy girls. We discuss this a very very long time. We also discuss chubby chasers. We get way off-topic here. Sean maintains that with everything Rocky, you have to consider the audience.

Our fantasy cast is Lord of the Rings. Thanks Andy!

Our terrible movie of the week is House of the Dead.

Laura thinks we should review porn but Sean thinks horror is funnier. However, Laura saw a clip of disturbing amputee porn once that was quite memorable.

Enjoy the show!

Voicemail: 206-888-4991

We get a call from Brian of 2 Drunks and a Podcast.

Sean tells the dick dust story.

Rachel writes to tell us to do a fantasy cast with The Simpsons. We can't remember if we already have done this but while we are researching, we challenge our listeners to come up with Simpsons fantasy cast. Listeners though should cast this with non-family members--no Bart, no Lisa, no Maggie, Marge or Homer, no Grandfather or Marge's sister, no pets. Sean would like for this to be cast with characters voiced by Phil Hartman.

Our topic for tonight is the danger of being in a relationship with somebody else when you are both on cast.

Our fantasy cast for tonight is M&Ms.

Our cult movie review is Shaolin Soccer! Pow! We stupidly call it Japanese, when it is actually Chinese. We also talk about a lot of other parody kung fu movies.

If you are in Atlanta and are interested in podcasting, be sure to check out Podcamp Atlanta which is happening March 16-18 at Emory University.

Call our voicemail line at 206-888-4991

The date for the Midnight Insanity MI Booty Pirate Con is changing to a week later, July 26-29. I have no idea what this means--I have only tried using Second Life once and gave up because my computer is a dinosaur.

A fellow podcaster has suffered a major tragedy. Irene McGee from the podcast No One's Listening, was burned out of her apartment in San Francisco in mid-February. She lost everything she owned: books, clothes, mementos, photos, etc., and one of her cats died in the fire and the other was severely burned. Some cult movies that supposedly are Rocky-killers that we talk about are Shock Treatment, Sound of Music, Rock N Roll High School, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Rent, Snakes on a Plane, Team America, Phantom of the Opera. So there's our cult movie review as well!

Today on the way to work, Laura was listening to NPR and heard that The Cat in the Hat is 50 years old--eureka!
RHPS 25: Short Sean-less Show (but there is a LDOD shadowcast interview!)

Sean is not on the show today because of scheduling conflicts--Laura has to go to her daughter's middle school band concert on the only day we could record. Feel Laura's pain....

This is the 25th episode. We were going to announce the winner of the Creatures From The Abyss used DVD Rockypod Rap contest, but we are putting it off until the next episode, so get your entry in by February 13, 2007 to our voice mail at 206-888-4991.

Several weeks ago, Laura went with Sasha from our other show Coffee and Tea Show to Plaza Theater to see Lips Down On Dixie with Rusty and Amber from Georgia Podcast Network. Rusty lost his Rocky virginity. Rockypod and Coffee and Tea Show are affiliates of their network. Afterwards, they interviewed Sasha and Laura for their podcast Mostly ITP.

Laura borrowed Rusty's Zoom H4 recorder because she forgot her iRiver. Following is the recording Sasha and Laura made of the interview with Aron, Jevocas and many of the cast and staff. At one point, the recorder ran out of memory and stopped recording which wasn't noticed because Laura had never used one before. Much of what we thought we were recording was lost, alas. But look on the bright side--this show will be a quick download!

Frolicon is April 5-8 in Atlanta. It's the naughty side of paradise and is 21+ only. Thursday April 5th at midnight will be a Drawn Together-themed performance of Rocky.

Too Fast To Live Too Young To Die on MySpace originally suggested last week's fantasy cast--The Addams Family--and we neglected to mention it since we were rushed. Our apologies.

Our topic for tonight is security personnel at the Rocky theater. Do you have specially-designated security folks at your showings? We do, and it seems like trouble-makers are now more in control. It's sad to have to resort to that though.

Our movie for this week is Wizard of Oz.

Our fantasy cast is Winnie the Pooh.

Check out the fine podcasts at blubrry.com.

We just got a new voicemail number: (206) 888-4991. Be sure to make a note of it. Also put it into your cell phone in case you get a wild hair to call us!

Laurie made the first entry in the Creatures of the Abyss contest. That is the rap you hear at the beginning of the show. Remember you still have time to get your entry in. We need to see a poem or rap by February 6th and you have to have a US or Canadian mailing address to win the autographed copy (by us) of this rancid horror movie.

As you may know, Rockypod is an affilate of our local podcast group called Georgia Podcast Network. Laura and her podcast cohost Sasha from Coffee and Tea Show were interviewed by Rusty and Amber from Georgia Podcast Network's podcast "Mostly ITP." You can listen to that show on Rusty and Amber's award-winning podcast or else pick it up from Coffee and Tea Show. Also check out the other shows that are available from the network.

Our fantasy cast is Addams Family/The Munsters. Sean threw in the Munsters because he didn't believe that there are enough characters in the Addams Family. Those shows are NOTHING alike! Ha ha.

Finally, we have a preshow from our last show with Lambda Psi Phi. As you can tell, there is quite a lot of interaction between Cesar, who's been on this show before, and the audience.

Gah. Gah.

Two friends from MySpace emailed us to let us know they had left some voice mail for us on the old number and apparently it never got to us because that number was shut down. Why? Because of non-use.
This is very distressing, because no telling how long that number has been inactive and yet we've been asking people to call it. And now we have that Creatures of the Abyss contest going on.
If you can make up a rap or poem about Rockypod and want to leave it as a voicemail at (206) 888-4991, that would be fan-freakin'-tastic. We'll love you long time.
They are hosting the We Are...Rocky! Rockypalooza con this year on May 11 & 12 in Huntington. You can find out more about Rockypalooza here. Anyone from Atlanta want to go up with us? We are very seriously considering going.

Tonight's topic is about ways to promote your own Rocky Horror shadowcast.

Sean tells a joke.

Tonight's fantasy cast is characters from cereal boxes. They are part of a balanced breakfast. We have apparently hit a new sugar-bomb low.

Creatures from the Abyss is the name of our movie. It's really really crappy. It has a poorly drawn cover. It's a horror movie involving teenagers and radioactive plankton. Hilarity ensues.

---------------------------

CONTEST!!!! Want to own your very own copy of Creatures from the Abyss (actually Laura's copy of Creatures from the Abyss)? If you create a short rap or poem about Rockypod and send it to us either via email (rockypod @ aim.com), MySpace or our voice mail (206-339-8668) before episode 25 (the episode you are reading about/listening to is episode 22) and we judge your entry to be the best one, you'll win the movie, autographed by us. Since we have no money, the contest is limited to US and Canada residents. Make sure to send us a mailing address. All entries will belong to us to use however we see fit. This should be hilarious!

RHPS-011107: Posh Spice's El Dorado

Voicemail: 206-DEW-TOOT

A topic from Uncle Bill on alt.cult-movies. rocky-horror, is Rocky Horror dying out from its heyday in the 80s? We think that major chains don't show the movie anymore because of audience damage, etc, but indie moviehouses seem to still show it. It still seems to speak to audiences. Here in Atlanta we have two very active casts, but the shows are doing well and it doesn't seem to be dying yet.

Do you think the Rocky Horror is no longer relevant and is dying?

Laura tells Sean the shocking news that Liza Minelli is Judy Garland's daughter.

Laura's husband Dwight interrupts to ask what he should put on the pizza he's making.

Fantasy cast: Care Bears!!!!

We need a ringer to help us do fantasy casts for Bond girls and Bond
villains. Let us know if you really know this category (we don't) and we'll
interview you.

Cult movie review: The Road to El Dorado, which neither of us has seen. Can we review a movie we know nothing about? Yes, we can.

Check out this video of Tickle Me Elmo on fire.

On the Usenet group alt.cult-movies.rocky-horror, Cosmo pointed out that Sue Blaine was just awarded the MBE (Members of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Magesty Queen Elizabeth II for service to costume and set design. Fantastic news (and don't forget that soon Cosmo and Nathan will have the first episode of Rocky Radio 2.0 up and running--we'll let you know when we hear more).

Also, Midnight Insanity cast of Long Beach, CA will be hosting the Rocky Horror Pirate Con from July 19-22, 2007 on the Queen Mary!
RHPS-122906: New Years Resolutions

Our multi-talented friend Jevocas (the Frank from Lips Down on Dixie and sometimes Lambda Psi Phi) is Assistant Director on the latest Atlanta incarnation of the stage show Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show which will be presented in February. We'll tell you more information as it becomes available to us.

However, from January 9-21, Seattle will also have the Rocky Horror Show performed at The Ethnic Cultural Theatre, 3940 Brooklyn Ave. Seattle, WA 38105 with shows starting at 8:00. You can order tickets here.

Our topic of the night is Rocky Resolutions. We discuss what we want to do in terms of Rocky Horror in the coming year. If you have anything to add, please email us or leave us a message on our voice email (206-DEW-TOOT or 206-339-8668) and we'll play it on the next show.

Jeanne and Laura have a cough-y break.

We tell bad jokes. You might want to fast-forward.

Our fantasy cast tonight is Saturday Night Live characters. Laura is very proud of this cast idea. Play along with us.

Sean tells a story about his friend Jason who doesn't like the Tang.

Our cult movie is Happy Feet, which is still in the theaters. We know we are pawns of environmentalists, but we all rather loved the movie. It was surprisingly well-animated, poignant and had great action sequences. See it. Squeeee!

Laura wants to stop dissing Liza Minelli and wants to have her on the show. Laura also wants to start dissing Jamie Lee Curtis, although Sean says no because she was in Halloween.

The ABC reality series Wife Swap is looking for a performing Rocky Horror family with at least one child between the ages of 7 and 17 who lives at home. When we find out more about this, we'll let you know. Nobody is more excited about this than we are. We've always wanted to hear it, and maybe Cosmo and Nathan can be persuaded to create a new podcast? Hint, hint.
RHPS-121506: How the Grinch Stole Liza with a Z!

Voicemail: 206-DEW-TOOT

Sorry this show was late going up. Sean had finals to study for and take and it just couldn't be helped.

Tonight's show is pretty short since it is Christmas season and we're both exhausted from work, but we'll make it up by playing part of the Lips Down On Dixie preshow, which is the other Rocky shadowcast here in Atlanta (we're in the Lambda Psi Phi cast).

Cosmos Factory just celebrated their 13th anniversary as a website. Congratulations! It is the definitive Rocky Horror site.

We think possibly Cosmos Factory one of the first sites on the World Wide Web. We discuss early internet sections. We remember the website that showed a camera image of a coffee pot and also JenniCam.

You can find Laura's other podcast The Coffee and Tea Show if you Google "Crush Penis Torture" (fourth one down!). We are going to put in phrases like "barely legal," "donkey show" and "old titties" into our metatags to see what sort of hits we get.

Last Friday was our cast Christmas party and then we went to see Lips Down on Dixie perform.

Our fantasy cast, per the request of Maia from MySpace, is Star Wars. I know. Easy-peasy. Shut up.

AP Line of the week.

Our cult movie of the week is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, not the stupid live-action one with Jim Carrey, but the cartoon. It sucks when cartoons are turned live action.

Next week we are going to review A Christmas Story.

Finally, the recording of Lips Down on Dixie's preshow at Plaza Theatre in Midtown Atlanta, where you can hear Candace the MC and Jevocas the Frank for the evening. I was toward the back of the theater so you can hear AP all around me.

~Laura

Hey everybody!

The show's going to be a little late this week. Sean has a big final test on Wednesday so we decided it was important to let him study. We'll record on Thursday and I'll try very hard to get the show up and online by Friday night.

I have a very good idea for the fantasy cast. Get your thinking caps on and play along with us when we announce it.

-----------

One more thing, our cast (Lambda Psi Phi) had our annual Christmas dinner on Friday night, and then we made a group visit to our buddies on Atlanta's other Rocky cast, Lips Down On Dixie. They're a screen accurate cast. As you know, we're more of a parody cast so each cast teases the other incessantly. We did a lot of our AP and learned some of theirs. And we filled Plaza Theatre with massive amounts of toilet paper--the cleaning crew probably hated us. Jevocas, their Frank, also performs with us pretty often and he adapts pretty well to both styles of shadow cast. Candace, their MC, used to perform with us but hasn't been able to for a while.

We're pretty lucky to live in a place with two casts that cooperatively perform on different weekend nights.

~Laura

A discussion about the character of Magenta. Laura finds her very mysterious and doesn't understand her motives. Sean thinks she's just along for the ride. Why are lasers shaped like that? Laura shocks Sean with awesome political incorrectness.

"Special effects" in Laura's house.

Fantasy cast: Star Trek, first series characters but if necessary we will use characters from Next Generation.

We tell jokes. ::sigh::

Disgusting clip of girl having accident in hot tub.

Cult movie review: Fight Club.
New Opening!

Sacolton on YouTube posted a new version of Science Fiction/Double Feature, based on Richard O'Brien's original idea. It's an awesome labor of love. I particularly like the fact that the drippy letters weren't used--instead, a movie marquee-type font which was used on the movie soundtrack. I would like to see this used in an actual performance. I could see some really great AP lines based on the footage!

If you live in the Edison, NJ area, be sure to check out Halloween in December on December 9 from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. with lots of vendors, performers, costume contest, Rocky Horror, murder mystery theater, zombies, costume contests, etc. Sounds awesome! Halloween is a far superior holiday to Christmas.

Clerks II was just released on DVD.

In London's West End, The Rocky Horror Show is returning at the Comedy Theatre from December 21 through January 27, 2007. David Bedella plays Dr. Frank N Furter, Suzanne Shaw plays Janet, Sue Blane did costume design, etc. The Comedy Theatre is located at 6 Panton Street, London, UK. For more info, call 0870 060 6637 or visit http://www.rockyhorror.co.uk.

Tonight's topic: Cast people who show up late or don't show up at all. We discuss different instances and how they should be handled. Also ride-sharing issues are discussed.

Tonight's Fantasy Cast was surprisingly easy: Hip Hop Stars.

Bad jokes. You may want to fast forward.

In honor of Clerks II, we review the original Kevin Smith movie Clerks.

Recording tomorrow, not tonight

Sean and I will be recording tomorrow night instead of tonight as Sean has a big paper due.

I am a little concerned, because my family is leaving town Thursday morning to spend the night at my sister-in-laws in middle Georgia for Thanksgiving and we won't be back until Friday night. Therefore, the plan is to try to keep the show sort of short and get it online Wednesday night--I may have to pull an all-nighter and let my husband Dwight drive.

Don't be shocked though if the show goes up Saturday, though.

Arggggh!--self-imposed stress....

The good news is my power supply is in so the show should sound pretty good. Again, I apologize for the crappy quality of last week's show but it couldn't be helped. Fortunately few of you downloaded it, but I don't want this podcast series to be judged by that!

Also, one of our listeners (Davey from Downhome Decadence of West Virginia) has let me know that he is starting another podcast. That is excellent! When he gets through the testing phase and has it ready to go live, we'll be sure to let everyone know! I'll have to change our tagline! It is just craziness that there wasn't a Rocky Horror podcast before we started this one.

Audience appreciation

Saturday night we had a smallish but very appreciative audience. They were truly funny and played with the cast. I love it when they are like that.

There were only two virgins there, which might have had something to do with it. I like to see no more than 10 virgins on any given show, because they are usually bewildered and overwhelmed and are not comfortable yet with AP. Too many of them causes a sense of repression in the show.

I was playing Magenta and Wheeler was playing Columbia (originally he was Eddie and Cesar was Columbia but they transformed during Hot Patootie. You had to be there). Unfortunately Wheeler and I got a little carried away in the lesbian scene and his shoulder hit the candellabra, causing it to hit the concrete floor HARD and shatter. It can be fixed but it's going to take some dowels to hold it together, which will make it even MORE top heavy therefore more likely to tip over. I wonder if weights can be attached at the base, like I have on my mic stands. This would give whomever is playing Riff a workout of the arm muscles, so that would be awesome.

RHPS-111406: F*U*B*A*R

Voice mail: 1-206-DEW-TOOT (206-339-8668)

First of all, please forgive the quality of this episode. Laura's Mac G4 has a faulty power supply, and while a refurbished one has been ordered, we did not have a computer that would run GarageBand (our usual audio-editing software) or even Audacity. Sean has a very nice PC laptop, but he is running a beta copy of Vista on it and Audacity is not compatible. We were reduced to recording with an iRiver. It worked, but unfortunately, we stopped recording at the end and didn't get it running correctly so the end of the show was lost. Laura tried to re-record what was lost but it just wasn't the same. As all our music is on the bad computer, we didn't have access to the old public domain recorded music that we use for bed music.

During this episode, we discuss what brought us to joining our casts. Everyone always talks about how they first lost their Rocky virginity, but no one ever says what motivated them to become cast members, if indeed they did do so. If you are on a cast, tell us why you joined!

Laura tells a few Basher of Scheme's Rocky Horror riddles until Sean puts a stop to it! Heh heh, you can read the rest of them in the November 8 blog post.

Our fantasy cast is made up of Disney villains and/or princesses.

We begin to discuss the 1980 comedy Airplane, but this is where the recording dies and Laura has to recreate it from memory. Oh well. Anyway, it's one of the funniest movies ever made and if you haven't ever seen it or it's been a while, check it out. You will laugh--I guaran-damn-tee it!

Check us out at blubrry.com, spelled without any e's.

RHPS-110706: The most evil man in the world

Voice Mail: (206) DEW TOOT

Pardon the crackly sound of the show. For bed music, I used blues from the early 20th century ("I'm So Glad" by Skip James) and it had a lot of pop and hiss. I think it's charming.

News: If you live in the Atlanta area and are a regular at the Lips Down On Dixie show at the Plaza Theater, be advised that they will not be having their show on Friday night November 10th due to Out on Film, the 19th Annual Atlanta LGBT Film Festival, which will be at the Plaza from November 10th-16th. Instead Lips Down On Dixie will be performing on Saturday Nov. 11. If you regularly attend both LDOD and Lambda Psi Phi shows, you're going to have to make a choice--warm up your coin-tossin' hand because it's going to get a workout.

McFarlane Toys has recreated The Rocky Horror Picture Show's movie poster as a 3-D collectible, to be released February 2007. You can see creepy and disturbing photos of the poster here. Sean rants about how difficult it is now to get McFarlane toys lately.

Kevin from Crazed Imaginations asked why don't casts do holiday shows? Usually our cast does shows for Christmas and New Year's but last year the holidays fell on Saturday, which is when our cast usually performs and we didn't have enough people in town to perform. We can't remember if our theater even played RHPS those nights. What does your cast do to celebrate the holidays? Nobody ever does a Thanksgiving show, it seems. Why not? Thanksgiving is always overlooked.

Cult movie review: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory vs. Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Let the yummy battle begin! Sean rants about the most evil man in the movies.

Fantasy Cast as suggested by Jessie aka Loserface from MySpace: Super Heroes.

Megan on MySpace is on the cast of The Black Hole, which will open March 1, 2007 at the Chicago Rock Cafe, Lincoln, UK. The cost is ÃÂ5 and the ticket hotline is: 07857 019 577. Check out the music from the show on the MySpace page.

KSU show that Sean and I were in

As you may have gathered from our last podcast, Sean and I were to play with some of our cast Lambda Psi Phi at a special show at Kennesaw State University Saturday night.

This was an awesome time. The audience was large--approximately 300 people showed up--and the last I heard we nearly sold out of prop bags. Much toilet paper was thrown all over the auditorium and a lot of folks dressed up. This was the first time I have ever performed RHPS on an actual theatrical stage and we weren't blocked for that much staging area real estate. The lights were low in the back so that the movie could be projected there and Rod, who was doing photography, complained that people needed to play more toward the front of the stage to take advantage of overhead lights. But we were all so used to almost touching the screen that it was hard moving outwards.

We had the bare minimums in props, basically what had been saved from when our old theater closed from when our cast was performing at two different movie theaters at the same time(!). Those props had been stored in our cast leader's attic for three years and then when I brought them in they smelled like dead animals so I sprayed them with Febreez and then washed them!

We had one space suit which I wore as Magenta (with a banged-up foot and a walking cane). Sean brought a Space Ghost suit for Jason, who was playing Riff, to wear in the space suit scene. No Eddie stuff. Two floor showish pieces of lingerie. I brought my Riff jacket for Jason. I brought my Playtex gloves for Jessie, who was Frank. Eyepatch Josh brought his late grandmother's wheelchair.

We had a great canvas laundry tank which had been stored in a rehearsal theater. Sean fit inside as Rocky and also he and Renee, who was playing Janet, easily fit inside. It rolled easily and we kept acting like we were going to push it off the stage just to freak Sean out (didn't work).

Afterwards, Sean, Jeanne, Jason, Rod and I went to Marietta Diner, where we used to go back in the Blackwell and then the Marietta Star days. The floor manager who tried to throw us all out once and whom we called Lurch still worked there.

Good times.

We're still interested in setting up phone interviews. If you'd like for us to call you, let us know your phone number and when we can reach you. It's really fun. Just email the information--rockypod at aim.com.

Sean and I both work in the same photolab with our castleader Laurie, as you may or may not know.

On Wednesday, I was struggling to open and load a new roll of 24" paper and clumsily dropped it on my foot, which was clad in cotton kung fu shoes. I think I broke my toe. At any rate, it has the appearance of the discolored and bloated foot of a drowning victim.

It hurts like hell, but I am now able to put some weight on it. I have been keeping it wrapped, icing it and using my daughter's crutches from when she tore a ligament last spring.

I am going to play Magenta tonight at a special show at Kennesaw University. Should be interesting.

I may send my dear husband out to buy a walking cane, because crutches are so clumsy.

Whatever you do, don't tell me to break a leg!

We are now recording our shows on Tuesdays due to Sean's school schedule and it's a lot easier to get the shows out before our deadline, which is Friday mornings, eastern time.
RHPS-103106: Samhain a go-go!

(206) DEW TOOT

Absolut Vodka ad features Frank N Furter

Newest rumor news about remake of RHPS: Marilyn Manson as Frank. However, podcast Subject: Cinema says that it would be Alan Cumming.

We try to call Muppet, our fellow cast member.

Roundtable discussion: Laura has been reading the newsgroups and we want to address the issue of kickline perfection, or do you have your cast do practice sessions for blocking and such? How do you do it? We also gripe about poor cast practices such as turning around to watch the screen and not bothering to make an effort. (However, there are times when you have to peek because the movie doesn't give audio cues.)

A trick-or-treater comes and gives us a bad trick.

We review The Lost Boys.

We try to call Muppet yet again. No luck.

Fantasy Cast: Muppets

Hyper Nonsense podcast song: "Halloween is Awesome"

We decide to call Jason White, who will be in charge of Rocky Horror, November 4th, a free-for-students show at Kennesaw University.

Podcamp Atlanta is in the planning stages and is tentatively set for March 2007. If you live in the south and are interested in podcasting, you may be interested in this.

RHPS-102406: Thumbs Up!

Voice Mail: (206) DEW-TOOT

News: Queen of the Desert con was a success, we hear. Any word on Screamfest? Last week in 1974, filming began on Rocky Horror Picture Show. Barry Bostwick was hired by Donald Trump to read a book on tape.

Ed from Fishnet Mafia emailed us to say:
Hey guys -
I'm responding to your question of "What do we do, for the
Halloween show?"

October is the only month, that we perform a third show. As a treat for the audience, we have the entire cast perform at this show. How we do this, is that the primaries split the roll at key points of the movie. So, for example, the role of Janet... One will play till the lights go off, during the Creation scene. Then switch, and the other will be there, in the white robe. The first, can now start getting ready for the Floor Show, including the make-up. And then, be back on stage for that.

Also, we encourage the audience to dress up in their Halloween costumes. We do hold costume contests, during the Pre-Show. One is a regular costume contest, and the other is to crown the Goth King and Queen, for Columbus, OH.

.....Also, I wanted to let you know, that you guys have a permanent link, on our website.

He also sent a preshow music list:
I heard you talking about making CDs to be played, while the audience is filtering into the theatre. I do the same thing for us. I enjoy it a lot, since I used to DJ, plus it's another outlet for my creativity.

I call the releases, "PRE-SHOW ENTERTAINMENT", and they are a full 80 minutes of special remixes, regular versions of songs, soundbytes, and commercials. Generally, it works out that I'll play the first half on the first show of the month; the last half at the second show.
For the month of October, I made a special Halloween Edition, to be played at all 3 shows. Here is the playlist for this month:

1) "Treehouse of Horror V" (intro)
2) Haunted House (megamix) - Various Artists - a house/techno beat that uses samples from "Tales From The Crypt", "Halloween", "A Nightmare On Elm St.", and Vincent Price's laugh off "Thriller"
3) Let Me Prey - Van Helsing's Curse
4) "This city is headed for a disaster" (Ghostbusters)
5) Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.
6) "RHPS Commercial (Riff Raff)"
7) Weird Science (remix) - Oingo Boingo
8) "It's alive!" (Young Frankenstein)
9) Monster Mash (remix) - Bobby "Borris" Pickett
10) "If a witch betrayed her coven" (The Craft)
11) Dead Man's Party (remix) - Oingo Boingo
12) "There are certain rules" (Scream)
13) Thriller (remix) - Michael Jackson
14) "One - two - Freddy's coming for you" (A Nightmare On Elm St.)
15) Dream Warriors - Dokken
16) The Weapon (live) - Rush - introduction by Count Floyd
17) "RHPS Commercial (Belt You Around The Mouth)"
18) Somebody's Watching Me (remix) - Rockwell
19) "Feed me!" (Little Shoppe Of Horrors)
20) Something In My House (remix) - Dead or Alive
21) "Werewolf" (Young Frankenstein)
22) Twilight Zone (remix) - Golden Earring
23) "When a vampire bites it, it's never a pretty sight" (The Lost Boys)
24) God Of Thunder - KISS
25) "You should never say, 'Who's there?'" (Scream)
26) Nature Trail To Hell - "Weird Al" Yankovic

TOTAL TIME: 79mins: 57secs
